Welcome Address – International Charité Mayo Conference May 6–10, 2025, Berlin
What began in 1996 as a bold bridge between Charité and the Mayo Clinic has evolved into a beacon of international collaboration. Today, the International Charité Mayo Conference is a forum that brings together people from science, clinical practice, and society – across disciplines and across borders.
For this year’s edition, we have developed a truly unique program – designed to provide meaningful impulses for your clinical and scientific work. At the same time, this conference offers an extraordinary opportunity to engage in direct dialogue with some of the world’s leading experts – and to explore topics that go beyond the familiar horizon.
We are particularly proud of the broad and high-level support we are receiving this year – from leading professional societies and institutions around the world. These partnerships not only acknowledge our joint efforts, but also reflect a strong global commitment to connection and collective progress.
It is with great joy and appreciation that we welcome UNFPA and FIGO to Berlin – two key partners who, like us, place women’s health at the center of their mission. Their presence at this conference marks the beginning of a new era – one in which women’s health and participatory medicine are at the heart of every initiative.
The days ahead are meant to inspire, connect, and challenge.
They are an invitation to explore the latest scientific insights, engage in open dialogue about clinical practice – and shape better medicine for today, tomorrow, and beyond.
We warmly invite you to join us – in Berlin, at the most beautiful time of the year –
to enter into dialogue, spark new ideas, and build lasting connections.
Warm regards,
Prof. Dr. Jalid Sehouli
