The day began with two complex live surgeries in the morning in the fields of high grade advanced ovarian cancer and low grade ovarian cancer. We also had outstanding dialogues about all the newest insights in surgery but even in the maintenance approach. The different maintenance treatments has been discussed and one highlight was the presidential lecture of Prof. Thomas Herzog which gave an overview in the highly dynamics in the treatment patterns of Advanced Ovarian Cancer.

Prof. Sehouli was also proud to present for the very first time: 20 Years Experience in Ovarian Cancer Surgery – Charité Berlin.

At the end of the day in the museum of natural history, we honoured the engagement of Dr. Dennis Slamon, an outstanding pioneer in Gynaecological Oncology.
